chris-searleChristopher Searle is amazed. When he published a pamphlet of poetry by his pupils at a Stepney school he never expected to be sacked by the governors. He even less expected what he has found this morning. In the pouring rain, outside the school gates, hundreds of striking children are chanting his name.
